Amanda Dykes has a passion for computer science, instructional technology, and supporting teachers. She is currently the Computer Science Specialist for the Alabama State Department of Education. She was formerly a middle school STEM & Computer Science Career Tech teacher and a district level Instructional Technology Specialist. She brings her knowledge to teachers at a district, state, and even national level through conferences, social media, and publications. Amanda is a former elementary teacher, former middle school science and math teacher with a special education degree, she has had experience in all types of classrooms. Amanda is a Google Certified Trainer and was the Google Administrator for her district for 3 years, she excels in best practices when it comes to Google Suite and Chromebooks. Though Amanda is an expert in technology, she is patient with teachers who are afraid of technology or starting on technology path for the first time.
